No, I didn't miss your point. And I already clarified that above if you take time to read it. Where did you come from anyway, out of the woodwork? Yoyu just turned up to support elp6n so you're no better.

They say they are from Bold Camp, been on here since 07/23/02. You been on here a month. Just because they disagree with you doesn't mean they just craweled out of the woodwork, I would dare say that someone who has been somewhere a month would be a lot more crawling out
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

I've heard the studies. I've been to some of the meetings. The arguments for consolidation just do not add up. I have yet to see a single point made that would make me believe consolidation would help any student from one of Wise County's smaller towns.

You don't have to hear it, you should live it. Now if you were telling the truth you either a)have not been to college b)haven't finished or c)if you have, probably was a 2 year school (going by the either 2002/2005 information). MECC is not really a fair example. It's a good small college but when you're putting our kids in this area up against kids who are taking classes that appeal more to colleges than you're putting us behind the 8 ball. Look at the area, look at how recessed it, look at how many people have to leave here to better themselves. Maybe if we bit the bullet, took our good educational system and made it better, maybe some of the best of our best wouldn't have to move off to better themselves but could stay here and better this area.

I was referring to the fact that he never posted in this thread until elp6n started talking about all the family and friends she had in Pound and on Bold Camp.
Merlin, if you're not one of her family or friends then I apologize, but Im still waiting for an answer that actually refers to the main issue of this thread, which is consolidation.

Yes I am still in college. I am going to MECC because I have no desire to leave here for school or any other reason. I went to UVA Wise for a year when I got out of high school, but at that time I wanted to major in history and later I decided that I couldn't do much with that degree.
And there is no proof that consolidation will improve our educational system. You're falling into the same argument as Indian Dad and the others.

I accept your apology. I am not a member of her family and only know her from her posting on this board.
